About

Integrative Client-Centred Therapy
Older Adolescents (16+) & Adults

In-person and Online

I am a registered Psychologist in private practice in Randburg, Northern Johannesburg.

I hold a Bachelor of Education (Cum Laude) (WITS), an Honours (Cum Laude) and Masters (Cum Laude) in Educational Psychology, from the University of Johannesburg.

I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) - the statutory regulator of healthcare professions in South Africa. I'm also a member of the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) - the representative organisation for the majority of medical schemes in South Africa.

I utilise an integrative, client-centred approach to therapy in order to meet the needs of each individual. I draw on my specialised training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT Level 1& 2), Integrative Brain Based Approaches, Creative Expressive Arts Therapy (CEAT), Person-centred Talk Therapy and Relational Pattern Analysis.

Your Choice of Psychologist

Since the training of psychologists varies greatly, both in terms of university training and additional clinical specialisation, the scope of what each individual psychologist offers will differ from practitioner to practitioner and is not only dependent on registration category.

Psychologists are under the scope of the profession of psychology as a whole and are answerable to their scope of competence. In summary, competence in a specific specialisation is more indicative of expertise than the designation of 'Eductional', 'Clinical', or 'Counselling' psychologist. Importantly,

As an educational psychologist, my focus extends beyond academics. Educational is not scholastic — it is about equipping individuals with the skills needed to engage meaningfully in life. Learning happens across the lifespan, and education is not limited to school but rather about gaining the skills necessary to be effective in our human roles — as children, parents, partners, employees, and community members. My role is to support individuals in understanding themselves, building resilience, and developing strategies to thrive in various life domains.

This may involve:

  • Strengthening self-esteem and emotional regulation

  • Enhancing communication and interpersonal relationships

  • Supporting learning and problem-solving across different life stages

  • Providing guidance in navigating personal challenges and transitions

Through this work, I aim to help clients engage optimally with their environment and develop the tools they need to lead fulfilling lives.
